How Our CSA Program Works at The Reviving Garden

If you’re new to Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), you’re not alone. Many people are curious about how it works and what to expect when joining a farm share.

At The Reviving Garden, our CSA program is designed to make it easy for families to enjoy fresh, locally grown food while directly supporting a small farm in their community.

Here’s how it works.

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.

When you join a CSA, you become a member of the farm for the growing season. Instead of buying produce one item at a time, members receive a regular box of fresh, seasonal vegetables grown on the farm.

Your membership helps support the farm by providing funding early in the season when seeds, supplies, and labor are needed most.

In return, members receive a share of the harvest throughout the season.

What Comes in a CSA Box?

Each CSA box contains a selection of vegetables that are currently being harvested on the farm.

Depending on the season, boxes may include items such as:

• lettuce
• cucumbers
• squash
• zucchini
• tomatoes
• green beans
• potatoes
• herbs
• broccoli
• radishes
• and other seasonal vegetables

Because farming depends on weather and natural growing conditions, the contents of each box will vary throughout the season.

That’s part of the experience of eating fresh, seasonal food.

Flexible CSA Share Options

We designed our CSA program to fit different households and schedules.

Members can choose from three delivery frequencies:

Weekly Shares
Receive a fresh box of produce every week during the season.

Bi-Weekly Shares
Receive a CSA box every other week.

Monthly Shares
A great option for smaller households or people who want to try the CSA experience without committing to frequent pickups.

These options allow members to choose a schedule that works best for their lifestyle and cooking habits.

Pickup or Delivery Options

Members can choose the option that works best for them.

Farm Pickup
Pick up your CSA box at a designated location during scheduled pickup windows.

Local Delivery
For members who prefer convenience, delivery is available within our local service area.

Delivery fees may apply depending on the distance and delivery schedule.

Full pickup and delivery details are provided to members after signing up.

Why Join a CSA?

There are several reasons people choose to join a CSA.

Freshness

Produce is often harvested the same day or shortly before distribution.

Support Local Agriculture

Your membership directly supports a small farm and helps strengthen local food systems.

Seasonal Variety

CSA boxes introduce members to vegetables they might not normally buy, which can lead to discovering new recipes and meals.

Connection to the Farm

Members get to follow along with the farm throughout the season and see what is being grown and harvested.

Is a CSA Right for You?

A CSA works best for people who:

• enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients
• like trying seasonal vegetables
• want to support local agriculture
• want access to farm-fresh produce

If you like the idea of knowing where your food comes from and supporting a farm in your community, CSA membership can be a great option.
