One of the most common questions we get is:
“What do you grow at The Reviving Garden?”
Our farm focuses on growing a wide variety of fresh vegetables, herbs, and seasonal crops throughout the year. Because we practice diversified farming, the crops we harvest change as the season progresses.
This allows us to offer CSA members and customers a wide range of fresh produce throughout the growing season.
Early Season Crops
Early in the season, cooler temperatures allow certain vegetables to thrive.
During the spring months, you may see crops such as:
• lettuce varieties
• spinach
• radishes
• green onions
• herbs
• early greens
These crops grow quickly and are often some of the first fresh vegetables available after winter.
Mid-Season Crops
As temperatures warm up, the farm begins producing larger quantities of vegetables.
During mid-season you will often find:
• cucumbers
• zucchini
• yellow squash
• green beans
• broccoli
• herbs
• leafy greens
These crops tend to produce consistently and make up a large portion of our weekly harvest during the heart of the growing season.
Peak Summer Harvest
Summer is when the farm is producing the most food.
At peak season you may see crops like:
• tomatoes
• sweet corn
• cucumbers
• squash
• zucchini
• green beans
• potatoes
• herbs
• melons
Many of these crops are harvested multiple times each week during the height of summer.
Late Season and Fall Crops
As temperatures begin to cool again, different vegetables begin to thrive.
Fall harvests can include crops such as:
• broccoli
• leafy greens
• root vegetables
• herbs
• radishes
• late-season greens
These crops help extend the growing season and provide fresh vegetables later into the year.
Herbs and Specialty Crops
In addition to vegetables, we also grow a variety of herbs and specialty crops.
These may include:
• dill
• basil
• parsley
• cilantro
• other seasonal herbs
Some herbs may be offered fresh while others may be dried and packaged for seasoning blends.
Farming with Variety
Our goal at The Reviving Garden is to grow a diverse range of crops so that CSA members and customers receive variety throughout the season.
Instead of focusing on just one or two crops, we grow many different vegetables that mature at different times. This helps ensure steady harvests and fresh options week after week.
It also allows our CSA boxes and farm store to offer something new as the season progresses.
Follow the Season with Us
Throughout the year we will continue posting updates about:
• what is currently being harvested
• what is being planted
• what crops are coming next
• behind-the-scenes farm updates
If you enjoy following the journey of local agriculture, we invite you to check back often and follow along as the season unfolds.
